“That would be rather convenient for the Russian authorities if the Crimean Tatars were armed and tried fight back. Then they would be able to play a "Caucasian Card": Carry out the extra-judicial reprisal, a few people get killed, and after they say: "They were the terrorists." We must not let that happen.”

According to statements from the security services, the Crimean Tatar attempted to get into the territory of the peninsula, bypassing the occupiers’ checkpoint. As a result of the interrogation, the FSB stated that the citizen of Ukraine was a member of the Crimean Tatar battalion named after Noman Çelebicihan which was allegedly "plotting subversive and terrorist acts in the Crimea."
According to the journalist Anton Naumlyuk, FSB in the occupied Crimea detained a citizen of Ukraine, ex-member of the battalion named after Noman Çelebicihan, Seit-Ibrahim Zaytullaev to obtain the evidence discrediting the civil association "Asker".
