- Ahtem Chiygoz refused to testify as an accused since earlier during the preliminary investigation he gave exhaustive testimony and so far has nothing to add. Tomorrow, Ahtem Chiygoz and his defense start to familiarize with the case materials. Next week, the investigation will deliver to the court a petition seeking to extend the detention period, wrote Polozov.
A criminal case on the mass riots during the meeting on February 26, 2014 outside the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea involves six defendants. Three of them, Ahtem Chiygoz, Mustafa Degermendzhi and Ali Asanov are being held in the detention center-1 in the city of Simferopol, the other three - Eskender Cantemirov, Arsen Yunusov and Eskender Emirvaliev are awaiting the sentence at home, being taken out on bail.
