Police call Crimean Muslims for questioning

Police of Staryi Krym and Kirovski district of Crimea call local Muslims for questioning, head of “League of Muslim women “Insaf” Lutfie Zudieva announced.

According to her, about 150 Muslims, among them women, were called to police department for questioning.

“They invite either men or women, asking them private questions such as “When did you come to Islam”, “Do you belong to any religious branches” and others- Zudieva said. Not all those questioned are from Hizbu-t-Tahrir party”- she added.

She also noted, that the police finger-printed and made photos of some of the examined.

To be mentioned, Hizbu-t-Tahrir, an international pan-Islamic political organization is declared extremist and banned in Russia.
