Following searches in the town of Partenit, police began to visit apartments in the town of Alushta for ‘crime prevention and identity checks’.

On April 20, police came to an apartment owned by an employee of Alushta-based Tvoya Gazeta media outlet, who recorded the incident on his video camera. According to the man, the police officer, who did not actually enter the apartment, was checking his ID to make sure he was talking to the apartment’s owner and not some illegal alien renting it.

“We are looking for people on police's wanted list, who arrived from the Caucasus, Ukraine and ATO area,” the police officer told the man.

According to the police officer, check-ups like that are being conducted all in the entire southern Crimea.
