SAINT-PETERSBURG (QHA) -

The court in St. Petersburg arrested the activist of the Solidarity movement Olga Smirnova for 5 days for picketing in support of Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov.

The court found her guilty of disobeying the police.

It should be noted that during the World Cup held in Russia, Olga Smirnova participated in actions in support of Sentsov. She was detained several times, and also once placed under administrative arrest.

Earlier, an action for the birthday of Oleg Sentsov took place in the capital of the Czech Republic. During the action, three members of the public organization Kaputin attached posters indicating the terms of Sentsov's detention in a Russian prison to the fence of the Russian embassy in the Czech Republic.

Today, July 13, Oleg Sentsov turned 42 years old. For 4 years he has been illegally kept in custody in Russia. Sentsov has been on hunger strike for 61 days demanding the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners.
