SIMFEROPOL/AQMESCIT (QHA) -

At the meeting of the Russia-controlled garrison court of Fefruary 28 on the fabricated case of Hizb ut-Tahrir, the prosecutor read the case materials on the basis of which the occupiers try to prove the guilt of the detainees, the lawyer of the Yalta group Edem Semedlyaev reported.

According to him, the prosecutor has not finished the announcement of the materials and will continue it at the next hearing, which will be held on March 5-6. During the meeting, Emir-Usein Kuku filed a petition for admission of people standing on the street and supporting the Crimeans to the courtroom, but the prosecutor rejected it.

Also Semedlyaev told about the health of his defendants.

“The guys feel good and say greetings to everyone,” the lawyer said.

Reference: on February 11, 2016 in Crimea, a wave of the houses searches of Crimean Muslims began in order to present them as "terrorists". Eight of the twelve detainees were released, however, Emir-Usain Kuku, Vadym Siruk, Enver Bekirov and Muslim Aliyev remain in detention. All of them were detained on suspicion of participating in the organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is considered a terrorist group in Russia.

The so-called case of Hizb ut-Tahrir has become a “hallmark” of the Russian Federal Security Service struggle against dissident Muslims in the Crimea. Under the pretext of suspicions in terrorism, calling their repressive actions a fight against extremism, Russian security forces break into homes, carry out massive illegal searches and detentions.

Earlier, the occupiers in the Crimea considered the so-called Yalta case, but nothing was known about the details of the hearing for the human rights defenders.
