In the war zone of the Donbas, 86 people among civilians became victims, the First Deputy Chairman of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission Alexander Hug said during a briefing.
"Violence rages all along the line of contact. Too many people pay for the refusal of the parties to stop this violence. Since the beginning of the year, the OSCE SMM has confirmed information on 86 civilian casualties, 16 of which have been fatal,” Hug sai
The representative of the OSCE SMM also noted that 28 victims among civilians were women.
Alexander Hug reminded that now the mission totals 716 observers, of which 615 work in the East of Ukraine.
Earlier, Alexander Hug also reported that this week the amount of heavy weapons used in the war zone in the East of Ukraine has increased to 230% compared to the previous weeks.
