One of Crimea’s three old-timers, a Crimean Tatar Ifet Arifova, 107, has passed away in Verkhorechie village of Bakhchisaray rayon, she was buried September 1, the Muftiyat -- Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea -- reports.
Ifet Arifova had 4 children, 2 of them died during the World War II, the others died in exile in Uzbekistan, following Crimean Tatar deportation. After her return to historical homeland, Arifova lived with her nephew in Verkhorechie village of Bakhchisaray.
The Muftiyat of Crimea, as well as the QHA news agency expresses its condolences to the family of Ifet Hanum. Allah rahmet eylesin.
According to Crimean Parliament, the oldest Crimean resident is Yakubovsky Mikhail Borisovich. He is 108 years old.
