SIMFEROPOL / AQMESCIT (QHA) -

The Kremlin-controlled Supreme Court in the occupied Crimea held a session to consider an appeal on the case of the Crimean Tatar activist Enver Krosh, the public association Crimean Solidarity reported on Facebook.

The appeal was filed by lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.

Enver Krosh in the courtroom said that he did not agree with the decision of the so-called Dzhankoy district court.

“He does not see anything reprehensible in the fact that he published the flag and the signature on it: "There is no god but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah." This is first. Secondly, Enver says that he does not agree with the decision of the Dzhankoysky district court. Since the posts from 2012 were within the legal framework of Ukraine, and he has not used his account since 2013,” the message said.

The Supreme Court of Crimea upheld the ruling of the "court" of first instance.

"Enver will be in the detention center for a few more days. Until Sunday, February 4, 2018,” reads the report.

Earlier, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa, commenting on the verdict to Enver Krosh, whose house in the Crimea was searched, said that the Russian Federation cynically and brazenly suppressed the rights of the Crimean Tatars.

QHA reported that the occupiers sentenced Enver Krosh to 10 days of arrest.
