For the construction of the Tavrida highway, the Russian authorities of the peninsula intend to confiscate 171 land plots, according to the press service of the Ministry of Property and Land Relations of the annexed Crimea.

The government of the Crimea controlled by Russia, in particular, agreed on the confiscation of 12 land plots on the territory of the Leninsky district, 16 on the territory of the urban district of Feodosiya, 98 land plots and 8 capital construction sites located in the territory of Simferopol district, 8 sites in the Kirov region and 43 in the Bakhchisaray district.

Reportedly citizens will receive compensation for the plots, but its amount is not announced.

Initially the estimated cost of the route "Tavrida" was 43 billion Rubles. Then the project rose in price first to 85 billion, and later - to 139 billion Rubles. The Kremlin-controlled government intended to put the track into operation already in 2018, however, later prolonged the terms for another two years.
