On the air of the "Sputnik in the Crimea" radio, Head of the Kremlin-controlled traffic police of the Interior Ministry in the Crimea Anatoly Borisenko said that Simferopol is to be closed for transit traffic.
“We will make a proposal to prohibit the transit traffic through Simferopol. There will be information stands at the entrance to Simferopol on the Feodosiya Ring and at the side of Sevastopol," Borisenko said.
According to him, it is necessary to redirect all transit transport along the bypass road, since now it goes through the city center.
Earlier QHA reported that the Crimean "authorities" are bringing the peninsula to a transport collapse since they can not clearly report the timing of the repair works on the route Simferopol-Sevastopol.
