The number of prisoners in Crimean detention centers has increased more quickly than the occupiers expected. In order to address the "problem" a new detention center is planned to be built by the end of 2016, Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service Valery Boyarinov announced.

“The most problematic area for exceeding the limit of imprisoned is Crimea, where it is exceeded by almost two times. Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Gennady Kornienko decided to start the construction of a new detention facility in Crimea, which will be completed by the end of 2016,” Vlasti.net quoted him as saying.

The construction of the detention center in Crimea is included in the new Federal program, Boyarinov said.
