February, 26 the reading room of the Central City Library n. a. Pushkin hosted a launch of a book "Beybars - Sultan of Egypt" by Nuzet Umerov, a poet, writer, translator, journalist, member of the Union of Soviet Writers.
The historical novel tells about the life of the great ruler and commander, who was born at the beginning of the thirteenth century in Solkhat - current Old Crimea.
The host of the evening, writer, poet, historian, ethnographer Anatoly Potienko told about the importance of this novel for Crimeans, and voiced a wish to screen the novel, reported the press service of the Simferopol City Administration.
The author of the book, a well-known Crimean Tatar writer Nuzet Umerov shared his memories about working on the book. The author’s friends were also present the evening. At the end of the event all those willing were given autographs.
