SEVASTOPOL / AK-YAR (QHA) -

In the center of Russia-occupied Sevastopol, the level of pollution of sea water exceeds the norm by 5 times, according to the report by the press service of the Crimean "management" of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being, Rospotrebnadzor.

The analysis was carried out in connection with the water pollution in Artillery Bay of Sevastopol, with the area of about 600 square meters.

Samples of sea water indicated that the maximum permissible concentration of suspended solids (insoluble particles) in sea water is exceeded by 5 times.

“A visual inspection of the Kornilov embankment at the site of the above-mentioned works reveals the fact of storing the waste left after the dismantling of the premises. Turbidity of water was also recorded in the Artillery Bay in the area of construction works. Determining the source causing the pollution was not possible at the time of the survey due to the lack of any pipes, facilities, with the help of which it is possible to pollute the water area,” stated Konstantin Somik, the so-called Deputy Head of the Crimean "department" of Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Nature Management Rosprirodnadzor, as cited by the press service.

QHA reported that in the occupied Crimea the beach of Koktebel Bay was flooded with sewage. Blogger Aleksandr Gorny noted that the bay is actually facing an ecological catastrophe. According to the blogger, the Koktebel administration does nothing to eliminate this problem.
