After traditional Friday prayer (Juma namaz) Muslims all over Crimea prayed for stabilization of political situation in Turkey.
The prayer for Turks and Turkish authorities was initiated by the Committee of Muslims of Crimea.
Mufti of Crimea, the head of Committee of Muslims of Crimea Emirali Ablaev stressed that Crimean Tatars and Turks are brotherly peoples:
“We are brotherly peoples. Our culture, traditions, language and religion have been forming for centuries. In this regard, we could not ignore the events in Turkey. It is a hard time for the country so we prayed to Allah for help the Republic of Turkey and its people. May Allah help them and give them patience- Mufti said. We pray for the President of Turkey, to find a way out of this situation” – Ablaev added.
Turkey faces high-level corruption scandals. The government, led by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has removed 20 high-level prosecutors from their post. The scandal has prompted a series of anti-government protests across Turkey.
