Muftiate has become punitive instrument of FSB

There evidence of involvement of Crimean Mufti detentions and repression of Muslims of Crimea.

Following the statement of the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov that searches of Muslims in the annexed Crimea are initiated by the Crimean Muftiate, a documents confirming the data appeared in the network.

The Vice-President of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars Lenur Islyamov published a "statement", clearly showing the signature of the Mufti of Crimea Emirali Ablaev next to the names, addresses, and even phone numbers of illigaly detained Muslims who allegedly belong to the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir "and to radical Habashites movement.

The document was forwarded to the head of the Russian Federal Security Service FSB in the occupied Crimea, as well as to the "Prosecutor’s Office" and the Interior Ministry. It says that on the day of the holy Muslim holiday Oraz Bairam the members of the above organizations, prohibited in the territory of the Russia and Crimea, organized a "planned sabotage" to interfere with the Muftiate religious worship.

According to the coordinator of the Civil Crimea blockade, this statement, which is in fact a denunciation of brothers in faith, shows the "real face of Crimean Muftiate."

“Who initiates the arrest in Crimea? No one controls Islam in Russia better than the FSB! Here it is, the real face of the Crimean "Muftiate"! Denunciations of brothers in faith have become a common practice in the occupied Crimea,” wrote Lenur Islyamov.

October 12, a new wave of raids began in Crimea. In particular, in the arrays of Stroganovka and Kamenka, Simferopol district. FSB searched the homes of the Crimean Tatars. Following the searches, all were taken to the FSB department in the Crimea. Four Crimean Tatars are charged with participation in the activities of the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir", recognized terrorist in Russia. Timur Abdullayev is charged with the first part of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - organization of the terrorist unit activity.

Later, the “Spiritual Administration” of Muslims in Crimea issued a statement, which supported the policy of the Russian FSB against the detained Crimean Muslims.

The so-called case of "Hizb ut-Tahrir" has become the hallmark of the FSB struggle against Muslim dissidents in Crimea. The security forces break into the houses, conducted illegal searches and detentions under the pretext of suspicion of terrorism and calling their repressive operations combating extremism.
