KYIV (QHA) -

Mothers of the illegally convicted Oleg Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko met for the first time in four years of imprisonment of the political prisoners in Russian jails. The meeting took place in the Crimea, where Larisa Kolchenko came to Lyudmila Sentsova.

When met, the women could not hold back tears.

Mothers of the Kremlin prisoners recorded a video message to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with a request to facilitate early release of the political prisoners.

“Mr. Poroshenko, I appeal to you, do everything possible that depends on you to release our sons. Do everything possible so that our sons will not be disappointed either in the president or in their state," Larisa Kolchenko said.

In turn, Lyudmila Sentsova said that her son had resorted to the extreme measure - started a hunger strike.

"Although he said that no one should ever do this. The only hope is that you will not leave them," she said.

The mothers of political prisoners did not appeal to Putin. According to them, they have nothing to say to the Russian president.

"Sasha would not approve this, and neither would Oleg," said the mothers of Sentsov and Kolchenko.

Earlier, Sentsova's sister, Natalya Kaplan, said it was useless to persuade Oleg Sentsov to abandon his hunger strike.

According to her, the unlimited hunger strike of Sentsov began with only one goal - to get the Russian authorities to release all Ukrainian political prisoners.

Reference: Today, June 4, Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who is illegally detained in a Russian prison, has been on a hunger strike for 22 days.
