The Head of the Association of Holodomor Researchers, Professor Vasily Marochko reported the numbers during a press conference that took place in Kyiv on January 9, as cited by QHA correspondent.
“Victims of the Holodomor are those who died in 1932-1933 and those who received physical and socio-psychological losses. On the territory where the genocide occurred, there were 23.3 million of them, 7.7 million of them died, and 17.6 million were physically affected. Therefore, 23.3 million people are the victims of the Holodomor," Marochko said.
