Since 2015 to August 3, 2017, more than 20 thousand Russians were denied entry to Ukraine. The figures indicate that, still, the highest denial rate was in 2015 - 10.9 thousand people, in 2017 - already about 3 thousand Russian citizens, the Head of the State Border Service Petro Tsigikal told in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

"The reasons for refusing entry are basically unjustified purpose of the trip, exceeding the registration deadline, or absent confirmation of the trip financial security," he said.

He further spoke about those Russian citizens, who are prohibited from entering in Ukraine.

“If we talk about the ban on entry, then today we are talking about 3 thousand 148 Russian citizens. Of these, almost 100 are famous Russian artists and public figures, mostly those who illegally visited the Crimea.”

He also informed that in the areas of the ATO zone and the administrative border with temporarily occupied Crimea, any contacts with the occupant's side are still zero.
