YALTA (QHA) -

A huge lamp – an original monument to "blackout" - has been delivered to Yalta.

The setting up an art installation in Kalinin park has already begun, Russian edition of TASS reports.

“Installation of two light bulbs – the so called monument to blackout – has already begun in Kalinin  park as part of its improvement and landscaping, said the official representative of the City Administration.

It is noted that the initiator of this installation was a local businessman.

It was reported earlier, the inhabitants of the occupied Crimea took the initiative to create a monument to the power failure that occurred on the peninsula in the autumn of 2015. Experts of the Monumental Art Center proposed to create a monument representing a family sitting on the sofa and reading books, as well as playing chess in the light of lanterns.

Just a reminder: The residents of the annexed Crimea were left without electricity after explosion of electric pylons in the Kherson region on November 21, 2015. Despite the fact that the invaders have declared the restoration of power supply, some towns of the peninsula still have problems with electricity.

Previously, "the prosecutor's office" of Crimea assessed the damage caused by the massive blackout at RUB 361 million, excluding the loss of industrial enterprises.
