According to Oleg Zubkov, the zoo’s Director, over 100 warm loving animals, including parrots and monkeys from South America, are kept at Skazka and Taigan zoos , Novosti Kryma reports.

“The monkeys can survive in the current temperature, but we are expecting a cold snap to hit next week. We are bracing ourselves as best we can for that. The monkey’s compound is not heated yet. But with cold weather coming next week, we’ll have to figure out a way to keep the 250 monkeys we have warm. This very night the chimps will be feeling cold. We will of course be trying to keep them warm with blankets during the night, but that is not an ultimate solution," said Zubkov.
