Military traitors from Crimea summoned for questioning

Due to the lack of communication with the occupied Crimea, the suspects were summoned to a Prosecutor's Office by publishing writs online.

Eight soldiers from Crimea suspected of treason were summoned for questioning by the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Central Region of Ukraine, press service of the Prosecutor's Office reports.

“The Vinnytsia Garrison Military Prosecutor's Office of the Central Region of Ukraine carries out the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings entered into the Unified Register on the grounds of criminal offenses under Part 1 of Article 111 (high treason), Part1 of Article 408 (desertion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on July 14, 2015,” reads the report.

It is also noted that it was necessary to interrogate those suspected of these crimes at the pre-trial stage.

It was reported earlier that the Military Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine began the pre-trial investigation against the soldiers suspected of the assistance to Russia during the annexation of Crimea.
