Lenin Square in the center of the occupied Simferopol hosted an exhibition of Russian military equipment, according to the press service of the Kremlin-controlled so-called Head of the Republic of Crimea Aksenov.
The message said that such holidays are "necessary, especially for the young people". Aksenov added that the authorities should "fully facilitate such activities."
Earlier, the photos appeared on the social networks, in which the kids in the kindergarten are playing with artificial military vehicles, provided by the occupation authorities.
Reference: February 23 on the territory of the temporarily Russian occupied Crimea, Russian holiday "Day of Defender of the Fatherland", created in the USSR in 1922, is celebrated. It was originally called "The Day of the Red Army and Navy."
In Ukraine, the celebration of this day abolished in 2014 by decree of President Poroshenko. Ukrainians celebrate Defender of the Fatherland Day on October 14.
