Representatives of the illegal armed gangs "DPR" and "LPR" informed Ukraine of the 45 prisoners’ whereabouts, said the Advisor to the Head of the Ukrainian Security Service Yuri Tandit on the air of the Channel 112 Ukraine.
“I am glad that the Ukrainian Delegation managed to get the information about the captives from the representatives of Particular Disrticts in Donetsk and Luhansk Regions. Until recently, we were informed of 21-26 captives. So far, the whereabouts of 45 prisoners is determined.” Tandit said.
He went on saying that the DPR and DLP representatives are reluctant to agree on a particular day and place of the prisoners’ release and deliberately delay the process.
“We are ready to provide information on each of the requested persons [detained "DPR" and "LPR" terrorists - Ed.]. Although, the negotiators have not taken interest in it yet. They spoke about 1102 persons, and then about 602. We reported of 618 persons determined on the territory of Ukraine. Everyone has his own fate, but we are ready to release the ones we can under current legislation. And we are waiting for the same action by the representatives of Particular Disrticts in Donetsk and Luhansk Regions,” said the Advisor to the Head of the Ukrainian Security Service.
As of 26 May 2016, 3044 Ukrainians were released from captivity in Donbas.
