According to Refat Chubarov, financial and personnel matters are currently being dealt.
“Since the Russian occupation of Crimea, the main sites of our activity have been located in the capitals of some countries, where the main international organizations and their headquarters are based, including Brussels. I think that with the beginning of a new political season in autumn 2016 we will be able to open a representative office in Brussels. Now, we are solving the financial and personnel matters. The same refers to Washington,” the Head of Mejlis said, as cited by UNIAN.
Besides, Refat Chubarov assured that the opening of the Mejlis representative offices abroad has no political basis.
“These are the operational tools of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, but not political missions. These offices will be the centers of our routine daily work with international organizations,” Refat Chubarov explained.
It was reported earlier that Refat Chubarov announced the opening of the Mejlis Office in Brussels at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Crimean Tatars (WCCT) in Vilnius.
