KYIV (QHA) -

The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people held Iftar on the last day of the month of Ramazan, Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine "Ummah" Said Ismagilov informed on his Facebook page.

On the last day of Ramazan, the leadership of the Mejlis once again paid attention to the repression against Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars on the annexed Ukrainian peninsula.

“On the last day of Ramazan Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people held Iftar, where the leadership welcomed the honorable meeting with the upcoming holiday, and once again drew attention to the repression taking place in the Crimea against Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars,” Ismagilov wrote.

Reportedly, representatives of the diplomatic corps, prominent cultural and political figures visited the Iftar in the month of Ramazan at the invitation of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

Ramazan for Muslims is the month of fasting, one of the five pillars of Islam. Separate tables were organized for women and men.
