Due to the occupation of the Crimea, The father of a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Riza Shevkiev was not able to attend the funeral of his father Fevzi-aga who had died the day before, Shevkiev  reported on his Facebook page on November 17.

“Today my father's funeral will be held, without me ... Shevkiev further noted that 27.02.2017 he received the last warning on on "the initiation of enforcement proceedings on the alleged fine of 4.5 million rubles imposed on the Foundation with the prospect of imprisonment for up to two years envisaged by Article 315 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation".

He noted that the legal struggle against the Putin regime is useless.

In turn, the Head of the CEC of the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people Zair Smedlya on his Facebook page published a photo from the funeral, and noted that on the day of the funeral a helicopter was flying over the village.

"It has already become an unhealthy tradition, even at funerals, to circulate to helicopters, the village of Marino," he wrote.






On November 16, at the age of 92, Fevzi-aga, the father of the Director General of the Crimea Foundation and member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Riza Shevkiev, died.
