Mejlis member cannot get his seized personal belongings back

Mejlis member Eskender Bariev, whose home was searched by Russian Federal Security Service in Sept, has not got his personal computer and lap top, which were seized by FSB for examination, back.

“More than 4 weeks passed since my lap lop and computer were seized. I have not got them back yet, as they reportedly had not been examined yet. I don’t know what they will concoct”- Bariev said.

To recall, FSB (Russian Federal Security Service) officers searched house of Mejlis member Eskender Bariev for banned literature early in the morning Sept 16.

According to Bariev the FSB showed a document on investigation criminal case of May 3 incident, when thousands of Crimean Tatars arrived at Crimean-Ukrainian border to meet their leader Mustafa Jemilev.
