The occupation authorities of the Crimea prevent the Ukrainian Ombudswoman, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska from meeting the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz, lawyer Nikolai Polozov informed on his Twitter.
“According to one version, the sudden adjournment of today's court meeting in the Chiygoz case is caused by the presence of the Ombudswoman Lutkovska in Crimea,” the lawyer wrote.
Polozov said that the hearing on the "Chiygoza case" lasted only until lunch and then suddenly adjourned. During the meeting, the Prosecutor continued to present evidence – the photos. In the studied photo materials did not contain the images of Chiygoz, also the signs of mass disorders were not identified until 12:57 February 26, 2014.
The next hearing in the Ahtem Chiygoza case will be held tomorrow, December 27, at 9:30.
Earlier it was reported that Valeria Lutkovska held talks with her Russian counterpart Tatiana Moskalkova on visiting detention centers and penal institutions of Crimea. Lutkovska plans to examine the conditions of detention in Crimean prisons and to discuss possible options for prisoners’ transfer to the mainland territory of Ukraine for further serving their sentence.
