On May, 7 Kyiv is to celebrate the national holiday Hıdrellez, symbolizing the beginning of the sowing season, in the framework of a "PaskaFest" festival on the "Crimean glade." The celebration is arranged by the State Enterprise "Crimean House."

Reference. Hıdrellez is a National Holiday of the Crimean Tatars, which has its roots in pagan times. It is is celebrated as the day on which Prophets Hızır and Ilyas met on the earth. The rituals have traces of the ancient agricultural tradition. The Turkic peoples considered this day one of the biggest holidays of the year and in the XIX century the celebration lasted three days.

According to self-proclaimed Crimean authorities, more than 50 thousand people came to celebrate Hıdrellez on May 3.

Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov commented on Hıdrellez celebration organized by the puppet authorities saying the aims of the invaders and a handful of their toadies are obvious - to create a glamorous TV picture showing singing / dancing and chewing people ... and then tell the world what a wonderful life the Crimean Tatars have in Crimea.
