Therefore, Ruslan Zeytullaev can face 17 years' imprisonment in a strict regime colony, Ferat Sayfullaev - 8 years in prison, while Rustem Vaitov and Nuri Primov - up to 7 years in prison.
- Best wishes on the Day of Independence, Ukraine! reported the lawyer.
January 23, 2015 Muslims Ruslan Zeytullaev, Rustem Vaitov, Yuri (Nuri) Primov and Ferat Seifullaev were detained in Crimea. They were accused of involvement in the "Hizb ut-Tahrir" organization banned in Russia. Since June 1, the case has been heard in the North Caucasus district military court.
According to the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov, the "Hizb ut-Tahrir case" involves 14 prisoners and three criminal cases. The first and the third ones have four defendants, while the second - six.
The so-called "Hizb ut-Tahrir case" has become the hallmark of the FSB fight against otherwise minded Muslims in Crimea. The security forces break into houses, conduct illegal searches and detentions under the pretext of suspicion of terrorism saying their repressive operations seek combating extremism.
