Crimean Tatar Association for Culture and Mutual assistance in Turkey (Dernek) to conduct charitable action ''Kurbanlarımızı Kırım'da keselim'' (Let us make Qurban sacrifice in Crimea), that is being conducted in Crimea since 1991.

The action is conducted this way: The Dernek collects money in Turkey and sends it to Crimea, where Muftiyat -- Religious administration of Muslims of Crimea-- buys cattle and small cattle to sacrifice it on Muslim Qurban Bayram holiday.

According to Celal Icten-- head of Istanbul Dernek-- raising of money has already begun in Turkey.

The action is conducted with a support of Religious Administration of Muslims of Turkey and Red Crescent organization.

Note: Qurban Bayram, meaning "Festival of the sacrifice" is the second of two religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. It honors the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his young first-born son Ishmael (Ismail) a as an act of submission to God's command, before God then intervened to provide Abraham with a lamb to sacrifice instead.
