This winter, Kiev’s squirrels will have no problems finding a place to live in thanks to 30 nice-looking and cozy and houses made by Kiev’s high school students.
Houses for squirrels will be installed in Kiev’s Mariinsky and Kreschaty parks, reports rbc.ua. According to Sergey Martynchyk, Head of Pechersk District Administration, the houses were made during a clean-up operation in a Kiev park where a WWII memorial is located.
“I liked the houses for squirrels the high school students made. Some of them had waterproof roofs, an arched entry point, internal coating and even food. So, I think we’ll install all of them,” says Martynchyk.
The children taking part in the contest got really creative and came up with 30 squirrel houses adorned with nuts, mushrooms and Ukrainian symbols.
