Kiev medical personnel should be paid higher salaries, while Kiev residents should get proper healthcare services, said Mikhail Radutsky, Deputy Chairman of the Kiev City Council, while on an inspection tour of a new diagnostic and counseling center in Kiev’s Desnyansky district.

When talking to the facility’s personnel, Radutsky raised the subject of complaints constantly being lodged against Kiev hospitals’ medical personnel and senior management via the 1551 hotline.

“It’s not until after we succeed in eliminating corruption that we’ll be able to provide medical personnel with proper remuneration and equipment. And it is state-run diagnostic and counseling centers like this we’re launching all over the city that are to trigger changes in the healthcare system. Making proper use of the funds earmarked for such facilities will ensure higher salaries for medical personnel and proper healthcare services for Kiev residents,” said Mikhail Radutsky.
