Kiev center is under heavy control

Ministry of Internal Affairs decided to strengthen the patrolling of Kiev center to ensure the residents’ safety and prevent public order violations, as well as possible provocations.

1250 police officers, 950 National Guard soldiers from different regions of Ukraine, as well as four special route patrols, consisting of KrAZ Cougar armored vehicles and 8 crew members in each car, have been involved in the capital patrolling.

The first route is from the European Square to Slava Square, the second - from the European Square to Bessarabian Square, the third - from the CEC to the Palace of Sports (Basseynaya Str.). The fourth armored vehicle is in reserve in the city center and can be activated if necessary.

MIA appeals to citizens to treat the steps taken for strengthening of the public order protection with understanding and asks to help the patrol officers, reporting on suspicious objects and provocation attempts.
