The deployment of the OSCE police mission in Ukraine should be implement as soon as possible, said US Secretary of State John Kerry during his meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, according to a QHA correspondent.
“We need to deploy the OSCE police mission in the East as soon as possible, as Russia repeatedly violates the stipulated by Minsk agreements truce,” said Kerry.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements.
“There is no alternative to Minsk agreements,” he stressed.
It was reported earlier that US Secretary of State John Kerry met with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. According to Kerry, the main topics of their discussion were the reforms in the country, Russian aggression in Donbas and occupation of Crimea.
On July 6, US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived with two-day visit to Georgia to take part in the plenary session of the Georgia-US Strategic Partnership Charter. He also met with Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili and President Georgi Margvelashvili. US Secretary of State and the Prime Minister of Georgia signed in Tbilisi the Memorandum on deepening the defense and security partnerships. According to Georgia’s Minister of Defense Tina Khidasheli, the Memorandum involves providing Georgia with the opportunity to acquire weapons for self-defense.
Moreover, the US State Department official representative for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland said that the meeting of Petro Poroshenko and President Barack Obama is expected to be held in the framework of the NATO Summit in Warsaw.
