KRAMATORSK (QHA) -

The winner of the 2016-Eurovision Song Contest Jamala – a Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar descent – will perform in the center of the city of Kramatorsk, the press service of the Donetsk Regional State Administration reports.

“The popular Ukrainian singer Jamala is going to visit the city of Kramatorsk on July 5, the second anniversary of the city liberation from militants,” reads the report.

The concert will be held at the main square of Kramatorsk. Admission is free. 

The representatives of 26 countries took part in the 2016 Eurovision.  Jamala won having received 534 points from the jury and spectators.

Second place went to the representative of Australia Demi Him gaining 511 points; Russian singer Sergei Lazarev ended up third with 491 points.

Jamala performed the "1944" song on the Stalinist regime repression against the Crimean Tatar people – the 1944 forceful deportation.
