Crimean Tatar singer Jamala has played in a documentary about slavery and human trafficking “Life for sale”.
The documentary is an international project, based on true events.
“These are real stories of real Ukrainian people - shared Jamala. The problem is we think the slavery doesn’t exist in real life now, but it still does.”
As reported, the film is produced by non-commercial MTV EXIT Company, biggest of its kind in the World that is working to end human trafficking and exploitation by raising awareness, promoting positive behavior change, and driving social action.
To be noted, Angelina Jolie, Jared Leto and Lucy Liu had previously took part in the project. Jamala is the first Crimean Tatar to present Ukraine in the project.
The documentary is to be released in November.
