The Ukrainian singer of the Crimean Tatar origin Jamala became the Goodwill Ambassador of the International Organization for Migration, the UN News Center reported.

Jamala will take part in an information campaign dedicated to combating modern forms of slavery. She will star in a special clip dedicated to this problem. The video will be launched on Ukrainian TV channels on October 18 - the European Day against Trafficking in Persons.

According to IOM estimates, the number of victims of forced labor already stands at almost 21 million.
