ISTANBUL (QHA) -

Istanbul Electric Tramway and Tunnel (IETT) General Director has introduced so-called ‘organic lines’ allowing citizens, willing to experience a village life in Istanbul, to spend a weekend in a very unusual way.

The İETT introduced this new route for those who want to get products grown in rural areas of Istanbul (PYO-Pick Your Own fruit & vegetables-farms) or find it difficult to get there. It is especially urgent in September, the cropping period.

This new service not only promotes the consumption of organic products, but also enables citizens to spend an excellent weekend with their families.

Citizens , willing to spend the day outdoors, can get to such regions as Arnavutkoy, Bashakshehir, Beykoz, Chataldzha, Chekmekoy, Eyup, Pendik, Sandzhaktepe, Saryyer, Silivri and Schiele without leaving Istanbul.
