In the occupied Crimea the Kremlin-controlled Supreme Court held a closed session on the case of "Ukrainian saboteur" Andrii Zakhtei, journalist Anton Naumlyuk reported on his Facebook page.

He noted that the decision of the "court" will be announced on February 16 at 10:00 am.

“The judge of the Supreme Court of the Crimea retired to the jury room for sentencing the defendant in the "Crimean saboteurs" case of Andrii Zakhtei. The announcement will be held on Friday, February 16, at 10:00,” reads the message.

Earlier, the so-called Supreme Court of the Crimea decided to postpone the consideration of the case against Andrii Zakhtei. His case is considered in a special order, which according to the norms of the Criminal Procedure Code of Russia is chosen only with full recognition of guilt and remorse for the crimes.

"Supreme Court" of the Crimea extended arrest of the two persons involved in the case of so-called "Crimean saboteurs", Vladimir Dudka and Aleksei Bessarabov who are accused of plotting "sabotage" in the occupied peninsula, for another two months.

Previously, the so-called management of the Federal Security Service of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation against Andrii Zahtei who was accused by the invaders of the alleged preparing acts of sabotage in the occupied peninsula.

On August 10, 2016, the Russian Federal Security Service announced the prevention of terrorist acts in the occupied Crimea allegedly prepared by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the elimination of some kind of an intelligence network. Seven people were detained in the case of preparation for sabotage. The head of the group was named Evheny Panov, and his accomplice was Andrii Zakhtey.
