September 13, the so-called Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea will hold the hearing on appeals lodged by the lawyers of Ilmi Umerov, the Chairman of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, according to his Facebook page.
“September 13 starting from 9:20 a.m., the so-called Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea in Pavlenko Street, the city of Simferopol, will hold three hearings on appeals of my lawyers at once. The same day at 10:30, a hearing on the "February 26 case" will be held in the court as well. I will be glad to see everyone who comes to the courthouse on this day, it is a good opportunity to see and congratulate each other,” he wrote.
For three weeks Ilmi Umerov had been illegally kept in a Simferopol psychiatric hospital on compulsory inspection. He was released on Wednesday, September 7th. Umerov stated that he intends to continue defending his rights.
