August 29 at 14.40, the so-called "Supreme Court of the Crimea" in Simferopol will hold a meeting on the appeal of the "Chief of the Department of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sudak" Dmitry Krekov against 4 young Crimean Tatars. They will be tried for participation in memorial events of May 18, 2016 in Honour of the Victims of the genocide against the Crimean Tatar people, according to the Chairman of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Refat Chubarov.
“On that mourning day for all the Crimean Tatar people, the guys drove along the route with the Crimean Tatar flags decorated with black ribbons. June 7, 2016, the "Sudak City Court" did not consider the actions of the young people offense. This freak in the photo, the former Chief of Sudak city police before occupation, is currently the Acting Head of the "Russian police.” He did not agree with the previous decision of the "trial" ...” reads the message on Chubarov’s Facebook page.
Russia occupied Crimea in February-March 2014, saying the rigged referendum on March 16 was the will of the Crimean people to join the Russian Federation. Most of the world has not recognized Crimea as a part of Russia. For Ukraine, the Crimea still remains temporarily occupied territory.
