Halal food for Muslims will be provided at Winter Olympics

(QHA) - Food for Muslims, who participate in The Winter Olympics in Sochi 2014 will satisfy all the requirements of Islam, Askarbiy Kardanov the Head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Adygea and Krasnodar Territory, Caucasian Knot portal reports. According to him, people of all religions, whose beliefs have certain requirements for food, will meet all the requirements. “Food for both Muslims and Jews, and all those whose beliefs meet restrictions in food will be prepared according to the rules of their religion.” Moreover, Muslims will be able to perform their religious duties in specially constructed prayer rooms in each of the three Olympic villages. There are separate rooms for men and women. As reported earlier, the 2014 Winter Olympics, officially the XXII Olympic Winter Games are scheduled to take place 7 to 23 February 2014, in Sochi, Russia. Ninety-eight events in fifteen winter sports will be held. Both the Olympics and 2014 Winter Paralympics are being organized by the Sochi Organizing Committee (SOC).
