German hacker seized in Kyiv

Ukrainian law enforcers will hand a seized hacker to Germany.

A German hacker, who organized DDoS-attacks on ecommerce sites, has been detained in Ukraine, reported the National Police press service.

- He demanded 1.5 million euro for stopping cyber attacks. His attacks cost the companies EUR 2.6 million.

Earlier, this hacker, a German citizen, was put on the international wanted list. The German law enforcers suspect him of at least 15 cyber attacks, according to a statement.

The Cyber Police Department jointly with investigators detained the offender in the city of Kyiv as part of the request by German law enforcement agencies and arrested him for 40 days.
