FSB officers in the occupied Crimea carried out pre-investigation checks on the criminal article for "extremism" against Natalia Kharchenko (wife of activist of the Ukrainian Cultural Center of Crimea Andrey Vinogradov), the "Crimean Human Rights Group" reported referring to the lawyer Eden Semedlyaev.
According to him, the morning of January 12, employees of RF FSB came at Vinogradov’s home. They provided the Crimean activists a search warrant. After the search they seized office equipment from Natalia and Andrei. The security forces took both spouses to the "Russian Federal Security Service Office of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol."
Semedlyaev informed Crimean Human Rights Group that at the moment Natalia Kharchenko is under investigation on Part. 2 Article 280 of the Russian Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities committed using the mass media or information and telecommunication networks).
Earlier, in the evening of January 12, an activist of the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Russia-occupied Crimea Andrei Vinogradov was released after questioning by the FSB, and his wife was released at about 14.00.
