During the construction of the first stage of the Simferopol - Yevpatoriya - Mirny highway pine-trees were cut down in annexed Crimea.

This was reported by Sergei Konosov, deputy head of the separate subdivision of OJSC “Centrodorstroy”.

These pine-trees were trees listed in the Red Book.

According to Konosov, "Centrodorstroy" signed an agreement with Simferopol forest-hunting range for compensatory planting of pine-trees instead of trees that was cut down during the construction.

“An agreement for compensatory planting of pine-trees seedlings was signed with the Simferopol forest-hunting range. The seedlings will be planted within the forestry.”

1 thousand 716 trees are planned to plant.
