Crimean Tatar needy families, residing in Crimea will be given food parcels during holy month of Ramadan. The act of charity is organized by the Crimean Tatar Society for culture and mutual assistance (Ankara) and the committee of Muslims of Crimea and is taking place second year in a row.
This year, about 100 of such food parcels are prepared. The parcels contain sugar, rice, tea, sweets, pasta, oil etc.
Mufti of Crimea Amirali Ablayev told that the parcels will be send out to different parts of Crimea and expressed gratitude to the organizers.
Tradition to give out food parcels to the needy during the holy month of Ramadan is very widespread in Moslem countries. It serves as a symbol of caring about one’s neighbor and helps to become more compassionate and sympathetic to the others.
