Military Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv garrison with the Central region of Ukraine submitted to the Kiev Pechersk district court criminal proceedings launched against five soldiers from the Crimea accused of high treason, reported the prosecutor's website.
According to the website, the criminal proceedings have been launched against three servicemen with the Ukrainian Security Service and two former employees of the Defence Ministry as part of the special pre-trial criminal investigation. The traitors sided with the occupier and have not left the Crimea to continue further service in mainland Ukraine.
The soldiers’ actions are qualified as a high treason and desertion (Part. 1, Article. 111 and Part. 1, Art. 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In early September the Military Prosecutor's Office of Chernihiv garrison with the Central region of Ukraine has launched criminal cases against two traitors who soldiers served in the unit stationed in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
