The first train from Ukraine to Central Asia arrived in China bypassing the territory of the Russian Federation, press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports.
“In general, the length of the route is 15.5 days instead of 11-12 days announced previously. Delays occurred in the Black Sea and in Kazakhstan,” reads the statement.
It was also noted that the travel time was increased due to the delay of a ferry caused by the storm in the Black Sea, and the downtime at the Zhanaarka railway station because of the lack of coordination on the payment to the Kazakh side.
“Such changes in the schedule during a dry run are normal,” the agency reports.
